The Covid-19 pandemic affected countries all over the world, including our homeland Bangladesh. Many had suffered during the lockdown.
In support of the needy people of Kanaighat, the Association took an unprecedented fundraising initiative. As a result of this initiative, the Association was able to raise a substantial amount of funds to distribute among the needy people of Kanaighat.
Subsequently, a series of distribution programmes were arranged in a number of key locations throughout Kanaighat Upazila. Distribution took place in 9 Unions and in 1 Kanaighat Paurashava. The needy people from 90 Wards have received the donations.
It was estimated that more than 250 people benefited from this humanitarian programme.






Fed 5000 people in Bangladesh
During the Covid-19 pandemic and global lockdown, the television channel in the UK – Channel S took initiative to feed 5000 people in Bangladesh. KAUK was one of their project partners. As part of the partnership, £2K was donated to the Association to distribute amongst the needy people of Kanaighat Uapzila in Sylhet, Bangladesh. In present of dignitaries and a Channel S Sylhet representative at different venues, resources were distributed to the needy people of Kanaighat.
